invader nvdr4-4 camo l-3c-m4 (2024)

£6,750.00

nvdr4-4 camo l-3c-m4 (2024) is a limited edition screenprint by invader, published by heni as part of the artist’s ongoing exploration of pixelated imagery, camouflage and repetition. printed on somerset satin cotton, the work pushes further into the relationship between figure, ground and pattern within invader’s distinctive visual language.

what i find interesting about this work is how it almost resists immediate recognition. unlike invader’s more iconic space invader forms, nvdr4-4 camo l-3c-m4 leans into abstraction, where the familiar pixel language starts to dissolve into something closer to camouflage or digital interference.

that shift makes the work feel more ambient. it’s still very much rooted in invader’s visual identity, but it’s less about instant recognition and more about how the eye slowly reconstructs meaning from repetition, colour and pattern.

in a collection, it sits well as a quieter counterpoint to more figurative or graphic works — something that reveals itself gradually rather than demanding attention upfront. for me, that makes it an interesting example of the broader possibilities within invader’s pixel-based practice.

invader has developed a distinctive position within contemporary street art through his pixelated imagery, which brings together street culture, digital aesthetics and nostalgia. his limited edition prints and works have attracted an international collector base, with the space invader motif providing an instantly recognisable foundation for a much wider exploration of colour, pattern and abstraction.

nvdr4-4 camo l-3c-m4 is an edition of just 100 and is presented in mint condition, retained in its original sealed heni packaging as issued by the publisher. the print has never been framed or displayed and is ready to hang.
